wE ARE an inclusive collective that work together to CHALLENGe ASSUMPTIONS AND UNLOCK artistic POTENTIAL.
We explore creative dialogue between performers with and without learning disabilities and the power of serendipitous collaboration. Blurring the boundaries between professional and participatory theatre, our work seeks to elevate the many unheard voices of the community around us and bring them back to the heart of arts practice.
STAND BY ME
This New Ground runs a weekly choir at Bishops Creighton House in Fulham promoting the power and talents of people with learning disabilities. The Magic Sparks choir community grown rendition of Stand By Me was a project bringing together our choir participants and the local artistic community. Over three joyful studio sessions, first-time film maker, 18 years old Tyler Richards captured the TMS community in action. This project was done in Partnership with the Lyric Hammersmith and The Rhythm Studio.
