In July 2018 Artistic Director Nathalie Carrington travelled to Geelong, Australia to attend Back to Back Theatre's secondment programme.

One of the most exciting and urgent companies in contemporary theatre today, Back to Back is driven by an ensemble of actors with perceived intellectual disabilities who are co-authors and performers of the work.

Over the course of the secondment programme Nathalie observed the company's process and the making of large scale work with the aim to bring her learnings and insights back into future initiatives for This New Ground.
