Exciting new film celebrating our work out now!

We’re really excited to share a new film, which brings to life the work we do with our wonderful artists, has been released. The film, called ‘See Our Art, Hear Our Voice’ which you can watch below.

The film was funded by Hammersmith United Charities and created by talented filmmaker Chris Payne from Constellation Films.

Our ongoing mission is to help elevate the voices and talents of artists with a learning disability by removing barriers to creation, leadership, and visibility and this film helps show how our projects are helping our artists to be heard.

Lucy Groenewoud, co-director of This New Ground, who runs our London hub, says:

“We are so proud of this amazing new film which really captures the heart of what TNG does and the real positive difference our work can make to the lives of people with a learning disability.”

She adds:

“We hope it helps inspire other people with a learning disability to embrace their creativity and consider helping to facilitate and lead activities for others.”

Positive impacts

As Labake, an artist, composer and musician, who leads the TNG singing group and has been part of the This New Ground studio for 9 years, says in the film:

“This New Ground has helped me find my confidence. I use my art to celebrate who I am.”
