Week #5 - Walking the Line

This week we told stories, not ghost stories, our stories. Some with me and some with you. We talked about our feelings.

We shared stories of mice. 'Get me out of here!'
Stories of loss. Stories of comfort and hearts and flowers and my dad. Stories of the time I had cataract and the nurse put a needle in my eye. Stories of Lord Alan Sugar on BBC 1 (and also on BBC 2). 'You're fired!'

We made a line of our stories. We followed the line.

We took it in turns to walk the line. Trace our journey. There were some loose ends. We got lost. Lost in our stories.

Stories walk, like animals and men.  And their steps are not only between narrated events but between each sentence, sometimes each word. Every step is a stride over something not said.John Berger

This is a reflective diary following Catherine and Nathalie's creative exchange exploring how performance can promote equality between artists with and without learning disabilities.
